Here we see what is believed to be the long-rumored “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Air Jordan 5 Retro. The color is based on the popular sitcom Will Smith, which lasted from 1990 to 1996.
In the pilot episode, Will famous “red light” and laces color “Black Metallic” of the original Air Jordan V. would in many other classics throughout the course of the series, many of which can be found in the full story of the Prince of Bel-Air sneakers feature from Brandon Edler complex.
The “prince” Retro 5 sports a contrast gray base with purple accents, pink and green, which are in line with the style of the show. It also seems that the inner lining has a kind of 90s feel flavored.
Last year, both Reebok and Adidas sneakers inspired Fresh Prince released.
No official filing date for this color yet, but stick with single collector for updates as new details of the surface. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the new version.
From Lil’Wayne claims to have been expelled from almost every other arena in the league, the rapper gave it a go in Memphis “Grindhouse” of Game 3 between the Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder today. The rapper, who famously clashed with OKC officials questions innings during the playoffs last year, took note of the visiting Grizzlies Thunder fall into the “Fire Red” Air Jordan Retro 5.
Wayne has just launched its own range of Supra Footwear, but tied retro Jordan in NBA games recently. Do you think that sends the wrong message when leaving the face of the brand?

The Jordan Son of Mars Low is a sneaker tied up in the history of the Michael Jordan Spike Lee relationship. You’ll recall that the first version, the Jordan Son of Mars, came bearing elements from all of the Air Jordan releases in which Spike helped to promote, with the sum total of its influences being the Air Jordan III, Air Jordan IV, Air Jordan V, Air Jordan VI, and the Air Jordan XX. This year’s Jordan Son of Mars Low trims the fat just a little bit though, casting off the Air Jordan XX details to focus instead on that consecutive run from the Air Jordan III to the VI while maintaining a lower-than-usual cut on a Jordan sneaker. The resulting design has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to be regarded in the same breath the Jordan Spiz’ike, but there is a new colorway dropping this Saturday at USCHEAPJORDANS that is turning some heads.

There are two ‘Do The Right Thing’ flavored Jordan Brand releases on tap for this weekend: the Jordan Son of Mars Low and the Air Jordan XX8. Keep in mind that the shoes will both fall pretty close to the anniversary of that Spike Lee joint’s original theatrical release-Do The Right Thing first hit back on June 30th of 1989. And while we can’t help but think the theme wouldn’t have been a bit more timely were the Jordan Brand team to wait for a bigger milestone like the 25th anniversary, we’re still happy to see that colorful palette make its return. See both the Air Jordan XX8 ‘Do the Right Thing’ and the Jordan Son of Mars Low ‘DTRT’ below and watch for them in stores this weekend.
